Morro de Sao Paulo is a village located on Tinhare island, itself located in the South of Salvador. Morro de Sao Paulo is wonderful destination for many Brazilian tourists as well as foreigners. Larger than its two neighbour islands Boipeba and Cairu, Tinhare offers a great diversity of beaches and wild mangrove swamp. Those three islands form a sinuous delta full of shellfish and fish highly famous across the region.
Morro de Sao Paulo is one of the preferred location for vacation among people from the "Dende" coast and Salvador de Bahia. Tourists have always come to the beaches of Morro during the peak season, even before electricity was installed in the island in the 80's.
